New to Sailing

Hi, I'm Brent and I'm here to figure this sailing thing out. I have sailed several times, the first and longest was up the Intercoastal with my uncle and dad when I was a teen. I got seasick the first couple of days, and the canned tuna fish and mushroom soup didn't much help my recovery, but I did learn to love sailing.

I'm now almost 50, my health is fairly good, and I figure I can retire to a sailboat if I remain somewhat frugal. I hope this site can help me on this path. Thanks for letting me join.

Hey Brent...welcome to the forum.
Yeah...for me it was canned Maderin oranges and the smell of diesel fuel.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Might be good to get in a class with a bunch of other folks that want to figure the sailing thing out.
The seasickness thing effects many people in many ways and most folks work through it in a matter of hours if they don't have somekind of pharmacy type cure.
kind regards,
