New to the board Catamaran Sailor

Greetings and thanks for the opportunity to exchange information,
I'm in Southern California USA preparing a 1995 42' catamaran for a global ride. As the bank and I are currently partners in ownership the estimated departure is 2009/ 2010. So far it looks like a solo voyage but I'm open to change.
I really appreciate the immediate response to some questions I asked earlier. If there is any info I can help with about this location, mooring, berthage, purchase, parts availability or whatever I'll look forward to the chance to pay back.

Aloha Captain,
Welcome aboard! Good to have you here. The only place I've ever sailed in SoCal is San Diego so you must be up the coast around Oceanside or San Clemente?
Good to have you here and willing to share your experiences.
kind regards,
JohnL

Hey John,
I'm homeported in Dana Point. Good shot to San Clemente and Catalina islands. 14 years Catamaran sailing in the Hawaiian islands I certainly miss the trade winds. Got caught in th Ali Nui a few times in the typical 30 knots and 20' seas. Sailed a Cascade 42 out of San Diego once. Fine vessel.
