new to this forum though not to sailing

Alejandro is my name and I'm 56 yeras old. I've sailed from a very tender age, starting on Penguins, then Optimists, Snipes, Dragons, and Onetons and so on.
Have owned a 470 for some years in Germany, but had to sell it as I got married to a woman who would not put a foot on it and said I was being egoistical when I left her on land and went sailing.
Live now in Uruguay, South America, and sail only when friends invite me... can't afford neither a boat nor a membership in the Yacht Club.
Good winds and plenty of water under the keel to everyone!

Howdy and Welcome Aboard Alejandro!

You sound like you have met the fate of many sailors, whose wife or spouse or partner cannot understand the appeal of getting wet on a windy day.

Enjoy your time on the forum, and on the water!
