Newbe from Ontario Canada

Hello everyone. I have been viewing this site for a month now and decided to join up and start my next journey in life after retirement. Wil be looking for a boat in the near future. I have been walking the local docks and marinas, staring at a ton of boats, comparing lengths, widths, makes, colors and extra equipment on the decks.....Have to stop that now, as most boats are starting to leaving the water for the hard. Winter is coming up here!

My sailing experience comes from a racing background on Vancouver Island in the 70's, with some racing on Lake Huron. Not sure I can get used of cruising instead of going full tilt boggy all the time..Though I think time and age will do have done that for me. My heart is set on a C&C 37+ as it is combination of speed and comfort. But time will tell and I look forward to reading, educationg myself and musing over all of your threads of wisdom.

Thanks

ChamJam

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, ChamJam.

Enjoy your musing, but be very careful about getting too much reading and education - there’s many among us who seem to disdain both.

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
Good to have you here and hope you find the boat of your dreams. This is a really great time for purchasing. It is a buyer's market.
regards,
