Newbie - Beneteau First 375

Hello all I am new to the board and new to sailing. My wife and I purchased our first boat, a 1988 Beneteau First 375 this fall. We’re located in New York and plan to sail Lake Ontario. We look forward to next spring when we can finally get it out on the water.

Congrats and Welcome. I am sure it will feel like a long winter waiting for launch but you should have lots of great adventures. This is the place to come for help.

Welcome to CruisersForum!

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.

Hi, nice boat! I've sailed a First 375 for some years now. Let me know if there is something I can help you with.

Welcome. Very nice boat. A dockmate had one, sailed like a witch.
Nice time of year to start studying your boat's manualS and learning about electrical systems.

And fun to study the charts and cruising guides to plan out your summer travels.
