Newbie from a landlocked state

Hi everyone. Whatever the sailing term for newbie is, that's me. Getting close to retirement and trying to finally reach that elusive dream. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Tom from Arkansas. I do have a couple of questions so I will try to post them in the appropriate forum. Thank you for letting me join.

Welcome Tom. The AR River leads to the gulf. That's why my boat is there for the next 9.5 months. The Red River is also navigable to the Mississippi.
What part of the state are you in?

Re: Newbie from a landlocked state

Welcome Aboard CF, Tom! Glad to meet you.

You'll notice that folks who have responded to your Meets & Greets have all filled in what their boat is. When people don't have boats, but are getting ready to start looking, they can fill in "looking" in the boat space, then fill in their choice later. That helps the people with more experience than you to tune their answers.

Again, welcome. Enjoy your stay.

Ann

Re: Newbie from a landlocked state

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
