Newbie Sailor from North Carolina

Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself. Name's Billy Stratton and I have been bitten by the sailing bug lately. A friend of mine corrupted me by taking me out on his Catalina 27' 4 or 5 times. He sails out from the mouth of the Cape Fear and has been showing me everything I can take in about sailing. Looking forward to posting more about my addiction!

hello Billy---my husband and I have been bit by the bug too we just bought our first boat too! As of 6pm today it was ours! A 1969 weighted keel 25 coronado. Instead of doing our yearly vacation to jamaica this year, we bought a boat. We hope in the years come we can get there on our own(in a bigger boat). It's so odd last Monday I never would have thought we'd own a boat within 7 days. life is good....CONGRATS neighbor...we are in charleston, sc

G'Day both,
Congratulations on the new boat, and congratulations on you both getting the sailing bug. Be sure to keep us all posted as you enter this new, and very strange, world!

welcome to the forum. I encourage you both to post your home port and boat (since we already know this from your meets and greets.) If you go to "Profile" on the top menu bar, and then scroll down on the left to "edit your details," you'll find it a fairly simple process.

Sailing addiction is one of the few addictions that make your life better. The more you go sailing, the better your life becomes. Long live the sailing addiction.
