Nickel Sailer

Hi everyone. New to the forum. I have been sailing for 40 years. My first boat was a Glenn L 13 I restored and sailed all over so cal. Then when the kids were young I purchased a 1969 Morgan 33. Great boat. Sold it and bought a Catalina 22 fixed keel. Put on 2 weddings and fully funded 2 college educations. We now are partners on a Cal 20 where I provide labor and sailing knowhow and my buddy pays $ for everything. My wife and I have no shortage of available boats to sail so we plan to "put it away" as we finish our careers over the next 10 years. We see ourselves starting our retirement years buying a Grand Banks 36 on the east coast and doing the Great Loop while we are still young enough to handle a trawler. I love reading this site- I finally jumped in.

Re: Nickel Sailer

Welcome to the forum. I usually check for newcomers but got busy. Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you really have discovered the art of not owning a boat and enjoying them at the same time...
