'Nuther newbie

Looks like a nice place here - I've been getting a little tired of some of the others I watch. How long has this board been going on?

I recently sold my beloved 30 foot sloop that my wife and 2 kids cruised on from Alaska to Florida. Last winter in the Caribbean with two (now) teens convinced us of the need for a bigger boat so we bought a 45 foot cutter (turns out my kids are speed freaks). My kids are homeschooled (5 years aboard) and love sailing. We just moved to the Chesapeake, so howdy to any sailors in the mid-bay area. I don't know much about the area, but I hope to explore. I'm sure there's lots I can learn from this board and I'll try to help out when I can.

pirate Welcome !!!

You're very welcome to the board tenknots.

This board has been public for just over a month, so we're all newbies. But it's growing steadily every day and I'm sure it's gonna be a valuable source of information for many cruisers worldwide.
