Oz Noob - Manitou 32 or Compass 28 Info?

Hi all, new to forum, have been lurking for a couple of weeks and found answers to most of the questions I had. Most of my experience has been in Oz, Cairns nth Torres Strait and Gulf, and once around Efate Vanuatu.
Looking at buying small cruiser end of year, 2 that meet most of my needs are Manitou 32 and Compass 28. Anyone with experience on either? Mainly concerned with how they handle offshore with a bit of slop. Any info good or bad, greatly appreciated.
