Poking in from a deep refit

some that also frequent another sailing forum might already know me, but after lurking her for a while (and using your knowledge) I decided to actually join and try to give something back.

As you can tell from the title of this thread, I am deep into the refit of a much unloved 1963 Sea Sprite 23. What started as merely cosmetic spiraled out of control as my need to correct decades of neglect, shoddy, maintenance, and just plain sloppy upgrades had left a once pretty boat on the verge of being scrapped.

You can join my madness here: Sea Sprite 23 – Flirt | The Restoration and refit of a 1963 Sea Sprite 23

Re: Poking in from a deep refit

thank you all. I bought my SS23 in the effort to re-learn how to sail. it has been 20 some odd years since I had been on the water last. Not even been aboard her while afloat, she has already taught me a lot

Welcome to CF Art!!!

Lets hope she teaches you as much about re-learning to sail as she did about refitting a 60's Sprite...

Big kudos, and elated you are part of us...
