Probably Overdue

Greetings all!

My wife and I have been dreaming of our 'retirement' for nearly ten years now. It is only a couple years away now and time is getting short! I don't really look at it as a retirement though, as I am sure I will be working quite enough maintaining the boat!

We have recently acquired a 1978 Iona Islander 32'. She needs some TLC but will be fun to sail and 'train' on before I actually retire. I suspect we will want to 'trade up' for a 40ish foot boat to actually live on, but we are excited to finally be 'on the water'.

I've been perusing the forum as a guest for quite some time, so it is long overdue that I actually join and participate in the discussion.

Cheers!
C.C.
