Renegade in Galveston Bay

My wife and I are just learning the ropes and sheets on our 86 Catalina 34 "Renegade" in Galveston Bay. We sailed it with a lot of help from friends from Mobile Alabama to Houston in August and are now taking it out on weekends for day-sails. We made our first trip to Galveston from Kemah last weekend and are building up to our goal of sailing to Port Aransas or Corpus Christi this summer for a long weekend. Look forward to learning from others on this forum and sailors in the area about that trip. Will plan on the Harvest Moon Regatta next October!!

Sailing in Texas,

Bill

Welcome Bill,
From a fellow Texan currently in the Carib. We have done a lot of fishing for "Reds" in Port A. Always got our limit and there is a lot of great weekend festivals in CC that are fun to attend. Would check the local events and try and hit a festival weekend. The people are very friendly and down home "family" types. Welcome aboard!
