Sailing from Cairns to the Louisades PNG

Hi all

I am new to this site and also new to sailing. Luckily my partner has 20 years experience. We are leaving cairns about 25th July (weather permitting) for PNG. I would really appreciate any advise or stories if you have done this trip before.

Thanks for the welcome. I very excited about this trip as it the first time sailing outside of Australia. Have sailed the Whitsundays plenty but you can only take so much of a good thing...time to get a bit more serious about this!
