My wife and I have done over 120000 miles and lived over 10 years on our 42 ft steel cruiser. Now she is for sale ( the boat ) and we are going to do some land cruising in the USA. On our travels starting in August 2018 and leaving beginning of October, we would love to meet like minded cruisers to share experiences and talk boat. We are going to be mostly on the East Coast but would also love to come to California, as we have never been there before.

Michelle and Burt, pleased to make your acquaintence. I am in San Diego, have 16 foot Banshee and partner on a 27 foot Ericson. I cover every inch of sailing opportunity in these parts, from the ocean, the Coronado Islands in Mexico to Catalina Island 27 miles off Los Angeles in the Ericson, from sailing the Banshee in the stinky but vast Salton Sea in Imperial County or the beautiful San Vincente Resevoir down south in San Diego. It would be a blast to show you around. I ve lived down here for 30 years and used to race on San Francisco Bay growing up. Sailing is in my blood, and I d love to talk a little boat to some fellow enthusiasts.

That's a funny line. Welcome! I'm former East Coast (Florida and Chesapeake) but now live, work, race and cruise in/around the San Francisco Bay area on a Freedom 38. Happy to show you around or give you tips on where to go/what to see. A few words on our weather. Fall is often really nice (sunny, warm, not much fog), but that's also the start of the rainy season so can be wet. Winter is the same, but often with no wind on the bay. Summer is when it's a true blast here, but cold!! Regardless, we sail year-round so there's never a bad time to visit. If you get out this way, please drop me a note. Best, Carliane (s/v Kynntana)
