pirate Shiny says Hello!

Greetings! Names Kyle aka ShinyTopsides. I absolutely love the idea of sailing the world and exploring this gem of a planet. Thought this would be a great way to start being part of a community of like-minded people.

Currently, I live far from the sea. But, I have taken my ASA 101 and 103. Looking forward to taking my 104 sometime this year. Additionally, I'm looking forward to finding opportunities to crew with anyone who will take me. Get some more experience out on the ocean.

To keep myself busy I purchased a Venture 222 with a lifting keel. It needs a bunch of work to make it pretty. But, I'm looking forward to getting my hands dirty. Hopefully taking it out on Lake Tahoe this summer with friends.

The goal is to move to a larger cruising vessel sometime in the next year or two. But sooner would always be better.

Cheers!
