The Next Chapter

In July my employer and I parted ways semi-amiably.

I now find myself in a position where I have a good severance package and time to do something I've been dreaming about since I was eight when the family would return from a sailing the Chesapeake.

I think I've found my boat, a Morgan 30', that's being sold by the owner's family as he is no longer capable of sailing. The price seems low but there's little I'll miss during inspection after maintaining a sailboat with my dad for nearly twenty years. Anything I do miss I'm sure the surveyor won't. Anything he does I probably know how to fix.

I hadn't really planned on joining the forum but it has been a tremendous resource for me over the past four years in planning(instead of just daydreaming) and convincing myself that I could do it and how I could do it so I wanted to get involved.

Wow, this got really long. Anyway: Hello!
