Cool Want to say HI - New to this forum

I am working on purchasing a Defever 43 (1980 vuntage)

Past Rag Salor: Pearson 43. DRAFT 6.5' 58' stick
We had our boat Shazam for 25 years, Cruised the Great Lakes, ICW - East Coast, Mississippi River, Keys, Gulf of Mexico including Windwards, Leewards, Central America, North South America, Lived in Puerto Rico (Culebra) and just seemed to be getting too old for a larger Sailboat. Cold Damp crossings, foredeck work etc too much.

Now we look forward to a more comfortable cruising lifestyle in a MUCH larger living space of a Defever. Air, Heat, Stabalized, all sorts of electronic stuff.

My wife: Captn Judy has a 50 ton Sail Masters and has held it for 27 years
Me: Captn Rich 100 Ton Sail Masters for 32 Years.
Both of us have had Advanced Celestial but seldom use it after GPS

Pensacola home.

Looking forward to hearing from some of you.

By the way.. am looking for the following to go with the Defever
75# REAL CQR
Watermaker 15 to 30 GPH

Any comments by Defever owners.

The Classified ads would be an appropriated location for a “wanted poster”.
Suggest that you think carefully about your thread title, ensuring the word(s) “wanted” (seeking, or the like) are prominent.

Aloha Rich and Judy,
Welcome aboard! If I was closer I'd offer you my "real" 65lb CQR and would trade for a 45lb. Probably a lot to ship from Hawaii though.
Kind regards,
JohnL
