We are back--sv Makai

Hola from PLC, Venezuela. We are back in Marina Bahia Redonda for a couple of months for huricane season. We hope to back on the board and chatting again.

We cruised the out islands on Venezuela, Trinadad and the wind wards for the last 5 months. We are ready for some company to talk boats.

Capt'n Bil,
We plan to start heading for that area after hurricane season next year. Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated ... what places did you like? Which (if any) would you avoid ... high points? Low points? Problems? or infatuations?

Welcome back bil;

Hope the weather down there is not affecting you yet. We still have plans to come down to Venezeuela/Trinidad in Late January/ early Feb. Can't wait, that is if I can just get this stupid wind generator mounted....

Thanks It is good to be back

We have had a couple of close calls with Dennis and Emily but they turned out to be a none event. Thank goodness.

We spent the last 5-6months in Trinadad and the Windward up island to Bequia. We enjoyed most of the islands but they are very crowded and expensive. Lots of charter boats.

We will proabably never go there again. We couldn't wait to get out of Trinadad and the windwards and get back to Venezuela and the ABC's.

It is less crowded and in my opinion it is pretty. I Will be updating the comments on our new website in the next few days and can get in to more detail of my likes and dislikes. Or we can start a new thread.

The windwards are good to visit at least once to say you been there and done that but there our many more beautiful places away from the toursits and the much cheaper I might add!
