The Futura is so last millennium. You need a Quadcat.

Re: Catamaran Vs MonoHull The Ultimate comparison

when I think about cats, two things come to mind. when we as a family charter in the BVI's it is always a large cat. seems we motorsail place to place. and when we motor up wind the boat has a disjointed feel to it. but it has tons of room on it. then you have two engines to maintain.
second, if I owned one, you now have two hulls to clean and polish. where and how do you accomplish this. there is a vast surface of fiberglas to clean and maintain. my Corbin is large enough already. they are expensive and I guess if you can afford to, you can have a yacht service clean and maintain it.

I used to have a catamaran. A Hobie Cat FX one. In a modest force 4, it would go like a bat out of hell. It was wet - spray everwhere. You could hardly see where you were going. You would be soaked completely through in just a few minutes. On a windsurfer, you would only get wet up to the waist. On the cat you got completely drenched in spray.

But 16 knots in a 5m boat is fun and very tiring.
