I have ordered the various parts to build the Team Black Sheep TBS Discovery used in this video.

When I have the time I will start a new thread about quad-copters, especially as my intention is take my quad cruising.

I saw Madam Gu off Corfu and again off Paxos in September. It's a cool looking superyacht

and she has a little baby

The CC video is from the Team Blacksheep and shot by them. There is some guy called Trappy at TBS and seems to travel the world shooting videos for them and I think it is his. He seems to be very well known for his flying exploits
and at the moment is in a little trouble for them Trappy

As well as the Quads, TBS also have a flying wing with a gopro camera mount. It has a range of 20km (10km out and back).

some cool video from New Zealand with the wing

and from Thailand... a good example how tough it is at the start

The wing is hand launched and can be caught by hand also.

sinking of the costa concordia ( passenger footage)

I stumbled upon this on U tube recently, it is apparently composed of passenger footage and quite shocking. The conversation with the harbor master and the captain particularly so. Just thought I'd post it, so those interested (that hadnt seen it) can get a sense of what the night was like.

This heavy ship may haul it away in a few months. More details are found here.

Re: sinking of the costa concordia ( passenger footage)

Is it my obscure Microsoft browser, or a forum problem? I see nothing but a white box with a "banned" (circle with diagonal bar) symbol in the top left corner. The URL for the video shows up as http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ge-118085.html which in turn is just the URL of the thread itself.

And last time I looked, Concordia had been righted, but what's happened since then? Floating in place, waiting for summer weather and pontoon construction?

I just hit the link and it played OK. Keep in mind it is 46 minutes long also for those on limited internet service plans. I don't know what has happened to the ship since either.

Re: sinking of the costa concordia ( passenger footage)

On do a little research about the ship I found that it was owned by carnival and is one in a sting of accidents to happen to costa ships in the last year.
I don't remember hearing anything about carnival during the sinking. Weird ???

Also it seems that the ship will sit in its place till next summer before being refloated.
