Florida to Grenada in late April

Due to some last minute family items, our departure has been delayed 7 weeks. We’re playing catch-up right now in Indiantown, FL and hoping to set sail mid to late April.
We’d planned a long trip with nightly anchorages and island hopping to Grenada and dropping anchor June / July.
I think it’s still do-able, albiet without the fun island exploring but the Admiral wants to put up in Florida for hurricane season and wait til Oct/Nov to leave.
We’re on a 1982 36’ Cape Dory that we’re constantly working on. She’s as seaworthy as any other.....prbly a little more so.
We’re running a non-profit to deliver toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, education etc to the children in the Islands, so I think we need to get to work now and not wait while our savings get eaten up.
Realistically, how do you more experienced travelors feel about leaving Florida late April and working your way to Grenada? We’ve done the big seas and 45+ knot winds and prefer not to do that again......but could.

Re: Florida to Grenada in late April

What have you found as far as access and quarantining when you entered the Grenadines and traveled south? We are planning to sail soon within the Grenadines and have heard rumor that due to COVID restrictions you can't go between the north and south but not sure if that's true? Also, if you can get across, not sure if you have to quarantine again as you cross the 'country' lines? Any advice would be appreciated as haven't been able to find a good source of information.
