Got bored last night

With only 1100nm to go to getting home and only just making some 6 knts in light wind and getting a bit bored I decided to look at some you tube stuff and came across this vid and thought thank god I am this side of the ocean

I get a 'this video does not exist' message but more importantly, how do you get a video out in the middle of nowhere. Even satelite phone is supposed to be slow out there ...?

Are I have a very good system two sats with my pactor modem and Idrium linked in but they suck the juice a bit so only have on for an hr a day to check things and weather

Don't no why link isn't working but when I go to you tube it is

That's a first ... you get a better feed in the middle of nowhere then I have on a cable modem. Yup, I definitively got to go out there

If you paste the link given into a search tab it brings up that video of a 44-footish charter boat that snagged a half dozen ships in the BVI and dragged them around. Is that the video you were meaning to link?

Can you explain your dual sat on a pactor modem linked with iridium system a little more? You can do that? How exactly is it set up, do the sats plus iridium (isn't that sat as well?) all combine at the pactor modem? Also what sort of speeds do you get and how much juice is used?

(BTW- that video is... uh, wow that is some seamanship!)

The answer is simple buy a iridium pilot cost complete system (includes two phones sat reciver cable modem etc ) £4000? About. and I have also a MCD-4800 portable satellite cost about £10000 on the iridium I get about 134kbps and it costs me around £1100 for 1500 mb per month and I need that much to keep my business ticking over the only prob have had is it sucks more juice than I thought it would, and supply your own pc of course
