Great Free Resources (or How to Tell If You Are Dead)

According to the free WHO's International Medical Guide for Ships, Chapter 27, page 333, under the heading Signs of Death, one of the early signs of death (#4 to be precise) is that "the patient looks dead."

This stuff is gold!

Seriously though, I have been collecting free downloadable resources. Anyone got any more?

Re: Great Free Resources (or How to Tell If You Are Dead)

Dang it...new member, not got the hang of posting to this forum from a cellphone🤔.

Also..
PDF User's Manuals for all the bits
PDF Owner's Manual and Service Manual for your specific boat
Technical Articles from suppliers or sellers (esp west marine epoxy)
Technical Articles from designers and surveyors
Specific Owners' associations such as Catalina
Bulletins and Notices from boat builder and component manufacturers
OpenCPN for chartplotting
The library (hellllooo Nigel Calder!)
Podcasts such as 59° North
Particularly knowledgable cruisers forum members often have blogs full of step-by-step documentation of various boat projects and sailing trips. Skip the instagram-famous blogs....like cupcakes, they are delicious but not practical.
Your local salties--usually quite friendly and may double as the local fixit guys.

I think this topic is covered in another forum, but spreading info about resources is always good! I have garnered a huge number of references and tips from this site! (Although I did a lot of winnowing until I could recognize the true experts as they weighed in, and I still double-check all info.)
