Hand Sewing Kits . . .
where to get...what to get...

Id like to do my own cousins and sail repair...any tips

The standard kits include a sailmakers palm, needles, beeswax and waxed thread. Sail repair tape is good to have; some sail cloth; some fellows here in the forum actually glue the patches using contact cement. There are kits offered at a lot of chandlers but the palms often aren't very good. A quick stitcher can be a handy gizmo. Something like this: Quick Stitch Sewing Awl

By the way, was that supposed to be "do your own cushions"? If your sewing up your cousin you might want finer tools then for sewing up your sails
