unless you own a lugger the proper term is not pushpit. use sternrail which is proper and appropriate.

Well have not pushed anything from my stern rail but in a hurry once told the crew to stow there things in the after berth! there was a total silence for a few moments before WHERE ? came from below

Yes! I will be using this! My boyfriend speaks Dutch and German and English. I never know which will come out. But he only knows nautical terms in English. I can't wait to use these words just to flumox him LOL


Different subject - "baggywrinkles" makes me giggle every time! It's annoying now, but when I am 80, white haired and stooped over to 4'6"....the giggle will be charming
