Question about a headsail in general

Hi

Short question: I thought that parts of a headsail (dacron) are glued together , then stitched!! Plus, isnt it common, that the stitches in the end were protected by some kind of glue?

Thanks

Re: Question about a headsail in general

They use double sided tape to stick the edges together before sewing. Not sure about gluing the ends, can't say I have ever noticed.

Re: Question about a headsail in general

I’ve never seen glue, but have seen the stitching heat sealed before
