Ship's Log in Mac iCal - How to Export?

I keep a my Ship's Log using (Mac) iCal, with a common event title (eg; Ship's Log) and specific Date entries including Location and Notes. I can search by that Event title (Ship's Log) and list all of the entries. Do any of you Mac users know how to batch export or print the found entries with Date, Event, Location and Notes? Most desirable would be an export to Word. Sure, I could use another application, and have tried such, but the multi-device accessibility and ease of using iCal wins.

Selecting the calendar where the event is logged, and then selecting Export under the file menu should save your 'calendar' to a file with a .ics suffix.

You can change the suffix to .txt if you are having difficulty...

Yes, using File:Export produces a iCal file that can be read by vCal programs. When viewed as txt in Word, it is a very long string of control text, not simply the entries in a usable format.

Re: Ship's Log in Mac iCal - How to Export?

Thanks, but perhaps it's my ancient version of Excel (X for Mac) that doesn't read ics files.

Did you try printing from within the program? File>print>select the day/event to be printed. I selected each day and its prints the "ships log" for that day.
You can print it weekly too.

Yes, thanks, I can print or copy and paste single day entries. I would like to batch print or export multi-day entries.
