The Sharden - Another Ship Incident

The Sharden, home port Naples Italy, has hit a jetty and ripped its hull open. It appears that it is still afloat despite a gash in the hull.

There were 262 passengers and 53 crew, nobody injured. Ferry was berthed immediately after collision with the help of two tugs. Passenger ro-ro (roll-on roll-off) vessel Sharden IMO 9305269, GRT 39798, built 2005, flag Italia, manager TIRRENIA DI NAVIGAZIONE SPA.
