I will not be challenging that record. No thank you very much.
I believe the smallest boat to cross the Pacific was 6' something and the Japanese guy who did it was at sea for so long they had a funeral for him and everything. Made it to Japan, turned around and sailed back.
If a Harley Davison can make it across the pacific all on it's own, anythings possible !

There are ocean crossings; and there are world records.
Some America's Cup designs use hulls that may crack if they take two waves at once. This has very little to do with sailing.
Several people cut steps in the snow and laid out ropes and a Sherpa ran up Mount Rainier in 5 hours or something; a world record climb! That has nothing to do with mountain climbing.
I think I knew that guy. Gomu. Chain smoked and was stabbed to death in a bar in Seattle. Climbed Everest with Wittaker.

Re: The Smallest Boat Ever to Cross the Atlantic?

Help!!
Once again I can't follow a thread because I can't open the links.
If I click on them it takes me to a site called "Skimlinks" with no obvious route through to the requested link.
Can someone tell me how to get past this trap please?

I have tried posting this request on what appeared to be a more appropriate forum but received no reply.

This thread or a different one? If so which one? Which links?

PM a mod.

It happens with every highlighted link.
Even where a full site address is provided.
In the later case it works if I copy the site address and paste it into my browser.

Thanks

What about west to east?

From the Americas to Europe, east to west is a piece of cake compared to eastward
