front loading fridge and freezer door latches

Hi I have been refurbishing all my refridgeration and freezer after the existing system has died. One of the issues is that I dont think I am getting a good seal on my front loading doors (aside from the issue of all the cold air spilling out everytime they are opened). I have replaced the seals but I think I need a latch that has a "positive" close (ie: pushes inwards when closed).

I am struggling to find something suitable online that actually pushes inwards. I would prefer not to have a latch that uses some kind of mechanism inside the fridge as the door on the freezer is 100mm and tapered which will make installation very difficult. SO looking for something that wholly sits on the outside.

Any ideas?

Would something like this work?: https://www.thetoggleclampstore.com/...waAsyoEALw_wcB If you put the handle on the door and the catch on the frame, that would make it push in when closing.

Something like a walk-in fridge handle may work.

I use plastic "child safety" latches, available from Ikea in Europe. Also stops contents of fridge escaping in rough seas.

Check on Amazon for different types of child proof latches.

make sure you use the right seals (not the factory supplied ones, even if new) go to Home Depot or similar and get one that is W shaped, then try the $ test....stick a dollar, close the door and try to pull it out..it should not come out.

Perhaps something here might work;
https://www.mcmaster.com/refrigerator-latches/
Also, the Kason co. makes lots of stuff;

To test for leakage can try putting your phone inside in video record mode. Leave it in for a minute or so. When you play back the video if you see any light then that is where the air leak is.
