Generic Nespresso Capsules

We have a Nespresso machine on board which is the main method of coffee production for us.

Keeping it in capsules is a fairly costly undertaking, and besides that you can't buy them just anywhere. So I have been eagerly awaiting a good generic substitute ever since the patent expired a couple of years ago.

Up until now, all the various substitutes have been unsatisfactory. Not nearly as tasty, and the capsules don't work well.

Until now. Dallmayr has now come up with their own Nespresso capsules, and they are excellent! Quite like the originals in quality, and they also offer a fairly wide variety of coffees. Unfortunately, the cost is not much less than the real thing. But competition is surely a good thing.

Anyone who has spent any time in Munich (where I used to live) probably knows the famous Dallmayr establishment, which offers all kinds of expensive delicacies and the best coffee in Germany. A very worthy competitor to Nestle indeed.
