If you mean Shyte Hawks..... try marinading the carcass in a mix of yoghurt, lemon juice, cumin, corriander, chilli and a bit of ground fenugreek to counter the fishy taste... leave overnight then stick in oven and roast till juices run clear...
As to packaging... unpack the stuff in cardboard etc on the pontoon into dedicated storage vessels then dump the cardboard straight away... good anti roaches tactics...

boatman-- your marinade sounds as if it might actually work on those bad burdees..
only glass i keep in boat is my port wine. any port in a storm..... gotta have it..it stays in the depths of a closet until dire need...

Never broken a bottle of brandy/wine or anything else on a boat... drink outa pottery mugs and goblets... hate plastic stuff...
I may live in it but sure as hell wont eat/drink out of it...
