I have a small baby hammock that I tried and it would have been fine but the temp in the boat is too high and the fruit spoils fast.

So now I keep the fruit in a separate small cooler with a bit of ice or a container with cold water, unless I have lots of room in the main cooler.

We bought a nice 3 layer stainless wire basket unit from a kitchen shop. Was held together by chains. Designed for home use but very good for the boat. First tack, the chains broke, food everywhere. Replaced them with cord and a bungy on the bottom to control swing. Works great and stores a huge quantity of fruit and veggies. Bottom basket about 16", middle about 14", top about 12" diameter. Has served for 7 yrs.

I made some great nets with the help of this . He shows you a very quick and easy way, without the use of a shuttle. I made some for some glass bottles, so they had a soft landing and a way to hang them...like chianti!

Here's ours, we got it at the Fresh Paint art show at our marina. The artist is from Portland, OR and I believe from Australia originally. Her company name is Baskets from OZ. Reasonable pricing. Good stuff, IMO.
