Magma Infra Red Grills

Has anyone got a Magma Infra Red Grill? I had a regular Monterrey but am thinking of getting the smaller Catalina in the Infra Red series.

I'm also looking at the infrared grills. Anybody know if they stay lit in the wind better than the old square grills?

Re: Magma Infra Red Grills

I had a real problem with my Magma infrared grill not staying lit.

I called them, unhappy after dealing with it for a couple of years and they happily sent me new inserts for the BBQ for free and now it'll stay lit in any reasonable wind.

Thanks. Good to know customer service is actually available.

Any other experiences? Any opinions of the Newport model?

I was using the old West marine 315 that was made by Kuma. Very hard to keep lit.
