Mine is good up to about 25 knots. 😆

I have one of these: http://dickinsonmarine.com/product/sea-b-que-round/

It works pretty well but frankly is very expensive. I also wish it got a bit hotter, especially on cold days. On the flip side, it's well made. Mixed bag, imo.

Re: Marine Barbeques

I'll be going for the Weber Q series grill as well. I told the salesman at my Fountaine Pajot dealer that's what I'd be getting and he laughed at me. He said I definitely needed a good marine grade grill for it. Then I showed him the Weber Q series grill hanging off the back of the FP flagship Victoria 67 in the FP promo video.

We've been very happy with our Kuuma grill. First one lasted 6 years, still working when I gave it away, but the burners were getting tired.

Just weighed mine. 25lbs. Not a problem with a good mount.

Their spec says 30lbs.
If you weighed it on the bathroom scale perhaps you're 5lbs. heavier than you think

Lol! I weighed it on a commercial shipping scale that is calibrated. 25 lbs.

Re: Marine Barbeques

And no I didnt remove the legs. I am guessing the 30 lbs is a shipping weight not the weight of the grill when out of the monster box it comes in. Just a theory though. I trust my scale.

Interesting. I abandoned my Magma kettle primarily because it blew out in just about any wind. And this was on two different boats, mounted in several different locations. Also, too many parts to take apart and clean, one of which managed to find its way into the drink. The replacement for this tiny stamped SS plate cost almost as much as my next grill. These are sold under a variety of names on Amazon and sometimes at places like WalMart:

It seems to keep going in a higher sustained wind than the Magma, and the rectangular cooking surface is much easier to use. It's less than half the price of the smaller Magma, didn't require expensive add-on mounting hardware and has survived three seasons out in the weather so far.

Because it's rectangular, I was able to bolt it to a rail-mounted table I made, which also gives me room to put an aluminum wind shield around it. That has significantly reduced the blow-out factor. The table gives me a place to set down spatulas and tongs, and catches some of the drips and spatters that might otherwise reach the deck.

When this grill dies I'll probably try a Webber. If that is no better, I'm giving up and just buying a new, $25 stamped steel unit at WalMart each spring.

Marine Barbeques

The Weber stays lit, is very easy to light to begin with as it has a battery ignition, will turn way down in temp and cooks evenly.
However the body is not SS, it’s aluminum and does seems to show some corrosion. The burner is SS
It may clean off easily, and if not could just be cleaned and repainted, but I have not bothered.Click image for larger version

Re: Marine Barbeques

I really like the Magma Cabo series over the kettle style. I gave the kettle away. Way too many loose parts and difficult to clean.
