Mystery Metal brackets in galley

Anyone have these in their galley and know what they are/were used for? This is on my 1976 Valiant 40. Thinking of removing if I don't have a use. (Photos attached...hopefully)
Thanks to those who might know!

The second one, under the electrical outlet, looks like it might be for mounting some sort of sea-swing stove or cooker. Hard to tell without the cooker.

The second one, underneath the electrical outlet, looks exactly like one that, many years ago, came with a very expensive stainless steel thermos bottle with a push-to-dispense top. You passed a long, metal strap through the slots to hold the thermos in place.

Re: Mystery Metal brackets in galley

Is the photo on the top, correctly oriented? Is it possible that it be 90 degrees out? If the silver tab is oriented to the bottom of the photo, the device is identical to the oil lamp holder on my father's old sailboat, from the same erra.
The brakett in the Lower photo, ( with 110 power point) is as previously suggested a Brackett for the old Thermos Dispenser, but this too may need rotating to e oriented properly.
With no "up/down" reference, I can't be 100% on iether....
If it were on my vessel, I would reuse it as a fire extinguisher holder, just add velcro strap!
Just my best placed experience and observations.
Cheers

Re: Mystery Metal brackets in galley

Thanks very much! Yes, I did not realize the orientation of the photos was incorrect. I do believe you are both correct with the one item being a bracket for an oil lamp and the other for a thermos. That is a great idea to use the thermos bracket for a fire extinguisher. Much appreciated for all the comments, now I won't stare at these fittings in the galley as I make our meals.

All the best!
