Propane hose replacement; ordered wrong one. Anyone know what I should order?

Propane hose replacement; ordered wrong one. Anyone know what I should order? It's for a Jeanneau SO409.

I have an old, original hose that's 5+ years. I want to replace it for safety and also so it doesn't leak. I ordered the following:

Trident Marine 1014-1401-20 L.P. Gas Pigtail Hose, 20", POL Fitting

Doesn't seem to fit. Any thoughts on the replacement?

I believe the hose says: parker 7132 1/4 ID

[edit]
The old one is the dark/dirty/scratched one. The end tip is 1/2 inch, so it seems... as per the measurement. The new one is smaller, I believe 1/4 inch but not sure.

The big ends are the same aside from unimportant differences like the size of the wrench flats and whether they are "soft nose" (o-ring hand tight) or "hard nose" (metal on metal wrench tight) which make no difference for compatability

Your problem is on the small end. New hose is inverted flare and the old hose is, to my eye, 1/4" NGT

You can use the hose you already have if you get a $4 adapter which is available here among other places: https://vintagetrailersupply.com/pig...apter-vts-194/

ETA out of stock at that website, try this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0056ODEP8...ogi&th=1&psc=1

WOW!! Good find!!! Ordering it now.

I still can't believe the Trident one wouldn't work. It got good reviews from sooo many people and I feel like it was standard.

If this fixes it:

Then I'll be soooo happy. Thank you!!!

Actually the Trident one is standard (current reverse flair standard); it's the one you have (1/4 MPT) that isn't . That said, this adapter will do it for you.

Yep... fixed it and works great. Great connection and finally can sleep at night knowing I have the right adapter and hose.

Still can't believe Jeanneau wouldn't use a "standard" one... unless it's a European thing (the vessel was built in France).

Thank you!!

The NPT connections WERE standard until very recently.
