I am conflicted to whether we want to return there. We absolutely love visiting Southport and the marina was a great place to stay. However, after the way they filed lawsuits and demanded tenants insurance companies pay up for the damage from hurricane Isaias <sp?> and the resulting tornado was extremely unfair and makes me question if we want to support a business like that. I am sure this issue has been hashed out elsewhere on this forum, so I don't want to go too deep, but it does give us pause.

We spent one night there a few weeks ago and it was as good or better than it ever was. It's a well run and clean marina.

While there are other marinas north and south of that marina, it's the only one within walking distance of the town of Southport.
