Anyone Cruising Around Oz In 2014?

Just wondering if there are any families currently cruising or are planning to cruise around Australia next year?

Tassie at the END of 2014 perhaps, more likely the start of 2015, but till then restrained to the Gulf St Vincent and Spencer Gulf in SA.

Still, some nice places to go in those two gulfs. K.I., Tumby Bay, Joseph Banks Group, Robe (ok, not in the gulf really.).

We will be! We're currently in Adelaide having a baby, boat is in QLD, we'll be rejoining her in the new year with our newest crew member. What are your plans floatdaboat?
Caitlin

PS hello fellow south aussie Matt!

Re: Anyone Cruising Around Oz In 2014?

Were a family of four. Our cat is being build at the moment and planning to pick it up in march next year when completed to sail it back to Perth. From there were are looking to go around Oz. DS of 14 has started homeschooling and DS of 8 will start soon. Just looking to hear of any of your stories and experiences. Favourite spots to stay, life onboard, adjusting of the kids etc. :-)

Hey Floatdaboat - we have been sailing for 2 and a half years now. Our kids were 11 and 13 when we began and are now 13 and 15. We use a mix of home schooling and occasional distance Ed. We have had quite a bit of experience traveling from Albany in the west to South NSW coast and stopped here to do some work. Our plan is to head off towards the end of nov. We have documented our journey and experiences so far on our blog at www.sailblogs.com/member/wattsailing/
We also have a web page which includes some of our articles from The Cruising Helmsman and some that have not been published, including some on sailing with kids and home schooling. This is www.wattsailing.weekly.com cheers!
