Re: Reasons to ban children from cruising!

I can not believe what this thread is about. More kids are killed in car wrecks each year than any thing and you are judging the lives of individuals and want to control the very essence of peoples lives? Did you allow your kid to ride in the car? I am glad you are where you are and the rest of the world is safe! Take this thread down, it is only for God to Judge not some simple mortal. An lets get back to sailing an having fun! Life is too short for this kind of tread an it is a waste of space unless you just want to make a issue. Over 100,000 kids die each year from starvation, do you support and feed them, I doubt it.. have a good day!

Did you read anything or just go by the facetious title?

I think we have had a couple of those. LOL. Kinda opens up the mindset of a few that post here. Read the title, give their opinion.

But I am happy. What a great sharing of kindred spirits. We all want was is best for our kids, and if the rest of the world doesn't understand that-that's OK.
We do.

What a contrast to just hanging out in bedrooms and playing video games. just saying

Re: Reasons to ban children from cruising!

So, a slightly different perspective. Kids on boats locally, not cruising. I was raised on sailboats going out on weekends and week long cruises in the San Francisco Bay Area. I raised my kids doing the same thing with my wife and three sons. They were sailing in diapers and now, in their 30's we are sailing with our grandchildren. What a great way to live (not to mention the nieces and nephews). To many stories to tell here. The mind set of cruising can be close to home, as well as to far off places. It's an attitude. Kids are so cool on boats. Bit off topic, but I wanted to share.

Re: Reasons to ban children from cruising!

Bill you are magnificent when riled up!

hope we run into you soon. How's the oil clean up? everything back to normal? Rain Dog will be going through Galveston in a week or so. I hope to be aboard if my doctor will let me.

Anyways, thanks for sticking up for the cruising kids!!
