Re: Rope swing for kids

I am going to have to try Spin Flying. I have heard of it but never seen or done it. This summer in the med we will try it.

Re: Rope swing for kids

Our kids are 9 and 12 and ever since they were little have practically lived in rock climbing harnesses hooked with carabineers to the end of the halyards, swinging from headsail to mast, around shrouds etc. Keeps them out of the cockpit during cocktail hour and never have to worry about them falling overboard! Also a great way to help you meet other kid-boats...it's an instant kid-magnet. We also just tried attaching a wind scoop above the climbing harness as sort of a mini-spinnaker.
