Securing a car seat/bouncer

I am thinking to create secure attachment points for a car seat or BabyBjorn bouncer in the salon and in the cockpit so that the [very social ] baby could always see us and participate in the action. Has anyone done that? What was your solution for securing the seat/bouncer?

Thanks in advance!

We used ratchet straps around the cockpit locker lids.

Re: Securing a car seat/bouncer

Hi - this is not exactly on point, but just a warning of possible future events!

We had friends who owned a Swan 43 - the one with a REAL steep set of stairs - who had a toddler onboard.

They had made a "pen" for her to roam around in while under away and at dock.

Unfortunately, she quickly learned how to more than "toddle" - she learned how to escape from the pen and to climb the stairs and get out into the cockpit.

Reason for the attraction to the cockpit was the autopilot - when you made a course correction it made a "beep" sound.

The toddler (a little girl) was totally in love with the beep sound and learned by watching which button to push to make the sound.

They had some funny stories of the boat zooming 20-degrees off course when she pushed the button when they were not looking, as well as being awakened at the dock to the sound of multiple "beeps".

Kids learn faster than you think.....

Smooth sailing!
