Single Female Sailor Needs a Companion

Why are we playing matchmaker again? The last time didn’t end well but….. Here we go again.....

We need to find our friend a sailing mate, a friend, a companion or a potential spouse. Any or all would do as long as they share her passion for sailing.

Our friend is a female sailor in her mid sixties. She is well educated, well traveled and a highly adventurous type with the energy and spirit of a much younger woman. She is attractive, a tad overweight (which a few month’s cruising would sort) and has a vibrant and fun-loving personality. Best of all she has a good sense of humor.

She is originally from Jamaica and represents a unique blend of just about every ethnic background imaginable (African, East Indian, European, etc).

She is a widowed military officer’s spouse and has seen much of the world as such. She has crewed on several cruising and racing boats and loves nothing more than just being on the water under sail.

Okay, so why matchmaking? We are helping her “fish where the fish swim”….. She is not that internet savvy and perhaps a bit leery of internet meetings.

If you are a sixty-something guy and genuine, not a psycho or lecherous, completely broke, just out of prison or looking for a one-night-stand – she would love to hear from you.

PM responses will be forwarded to her so be sure to write a brief description, your goals and include an email address.

Wow! I didn't qualify for any of those...guess that leaves me out....wait...how long out of prison? and how much money is considered "not broke"...I've got 37 cents and some small change!

somewhere on this forum is a singles group. might also try posting for crew wanted and have your friend do some weekend cruising. this allows you to get to know the person before you mention the full intentions.

good luck and be safe. me only 47 so I am a little young at the moment.

Re: Single Female Sailor Needs a Companion

Have you tried the Husband Store?

Husband Store

A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City , where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs

She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.

'That's nice,' she thinks, 'but I want more.'

So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking.

'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help With Housework.

'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!'

Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.

PLEASE NOTE:

To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opened a New Wives store just across the street.

The first floor has wives that love sex.

The second floor has wives that love sex and have money and like beer.

The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.

Re: Single Female Sailor Needs a Companion

Boatman definitely needs crew. Too much time in the bilges, looking for diesel.
Also needs crew with a sound boat from what I've been reading lately.

ps, hope you get a better response in the singles thread.

I don't place an extraordinarily high value on physical beauty, but this lovely sounding woman would have a greater chance of meeting someone if you would post a pic.

The lady on the right is our friend. The young lady at the helm is only fifteen so please keep that in mind before posting a suggestive comment about her.

Re: Single Female Sailor Needs a Companion

Wow. We have here a beautiful, smart, adventurous woman who loves sailing and is "age appropriate" for the average cruising sailor. You came to the right place! She ticks all the boxes for a lot of guys. I've met a fair number of fun, adventurous guys in their 60s with a boat and a dream and nobody to share it with.

It's too bad that she isn't comfortable just moving on in here and posting and joining the conversation as she could get to know people electronically, especially on single sailors seeking soul mates.

Oh, and I'm 38 and married, so I'm just saying she should have a lot of luck if she puts herself out there.
