Taking Australian Dog into New Cal

Hi
I have just read that New Cal has changed it's quarantine requirements for pet entry into the country. Has anyone visited with a dog there recently to give me a picture of the process they use now & whether they will allow the dog ashore once it has completed it quarantine period? We are from Australia & intend on visiting New Cal, Vanuatu & Solomon Islands. Any information on cruising with a dog in these areas would be greatly appreciated - especially the ability to take them ashore.
