To Be a Queen Among Queens
Hot damn, I'm a queen! Never thought of myself that way. The down side is, in two years I am going to be a crone -- never pictured myself that way either!

Seriously though, I found the article really interesting but disturbing too. All of my life my closest friends (nearly all of my friends) have been men -- what is a crone to do then?

I can't wait until Lassie (SWL) reads she is a queen too!

Is there anyone who would dispute that Emmylou Harris looks stunning in grey?

:-) the reigning rule of thought seems to be that all us ladies and lassies are goddesses; we're just determining what flavor of goddess!! ;-)

Neh, it's much more a stage than a number. When you're ready for a little more quiet contemplation in life, then you can move happily into Cronehood. And I will be thrilled to sit beside you and let you pour sea-stories over me, both of us hoping I'll learn something from them! :-)

Gentlemen, thank you xxx

And here was I trying to embrace cronehood (and failing miserably, it's a tough role to play). Now thankfully sinking back on satin sheets after reading the last few posts, knowing I can abandon the attempt for at least a few more years .

The terms ladies and lassies are not mutually exclusive.

Scrap that. On second thoughts, maybe sometimes they are .

Anyway, I second that .

Oh, but to be a goddess ... It is good to have things to aspire to ... I guess I must post more

How's things in the Med? I am freezing in Utah, had snow yesterday -- May 1!!! Also received a brand new grandson the same day. Had to go back to work while my daughter is on maternity leave, since they were my clients to begin with I guess that is fair. Can't wait to get back to the Caribbean!

Re: When To Go Gray ...

Your senses of humour show that you are all just lovely, no matter what colour hair or age. But, who is going to turn out to be the Queen B?

Coops.

Hiya Robyn
Oh, congrats on the latest addition to the family .

Greece is just divine at the moment. It is hitting 20 degrees (68F) on board before 9am now. The breezes are warm and sunlight is permanently playing on the rippled sand through aqua water. Ice cubes are clinking as G&T's and mojitos are starting to make an appearance. The memory of winter chores has dimmed. This lassie goddess is in paradise .

Whew! I thought I was a goner for sure in two years, even though I don't think my head would be there yet!

I look forward to the day we can sit and swap stories, I believe there will be a lot I can learn as well.

Re: When To Go Gray ...

So if all you ladies and lassies are Goddesses, then we men are just left as Godless messes.

Actually Coops, we will do what we are put on this earth - on our knees kissing their feet (until they decide we can kiss them elsewhere)

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
