Which Countries Enforce Quarantine ?

Well, HWMO and I are sort of planning our route. We planned as far as we'll probably hook a left at the end of the Arabian Gulf, rather than going straight through the Indian Ocean to RSA, or right and thru pirate alley!!!

We do have a map on our kitchen door though, that we have a route drawn on in whiteboard pen, and humour folks by changing it when they make us promise to visit them!! That's how we added Perth, Argentina and Alabama! Anyway, we'll see.

But it did just occur to me, since I wanna take the dogs (I wanna take the cats too, but am trying to be reasonable) we might as well cross off any countries that doesn't welcome pets. That rules out the UK, my home country, but HWMO is happy with that. Says it's too cold there!

But where are those countries? (Yeah, I know I've gotta take Oz off the list!) Anyone know? I assume no one's had experience of putting their pets through quarantine (since we all love them too much)?

It is to cold there but you can take dogs there without quarantine but they cannot travel on your boat, they have to go on a ferry or fly in.

anders, the rules for UK Pet Passport system changed in January this year. I need to look up the new rules too, but looks like you can now bring them into the UK within the pet passport system on your boat.

The rules did change and you can now take a dog from any country to the UK without quarantine but you still cannot take it on your own boat.
