Bowsprit for my 69 morgan?

Anyone here have a bowsprit on their morgan? I have two headstay furlers with boat but only one will fit other one looks to fasten several feet ahead of bow of boat like it was supposed to have a bowsprit? But there is no hardware or bobstay mounts on boat ? Confused
