Anyone know what this part is? From a Catalina 27

Found this with some random bits from my boat

To me, it looks like a piece of trim, with a veneer, like you sometimes see on companionways. I bet there's a pair to it, somewhere on the boat. Imagine it with the narrow part at the bottom.

I'll bet it is supposed to go over one of the "doorways" towards the v-berth. The plastic track is for you to hang a curtain.

OldManMirage is correct.

Above the main bulkhead, the one with the shroud chainplates bolted to it, is a cabintop arch, a beam, that sits between the compression post and the deck.

There may be another cabintop molding at the entrance to the v-berth. This piece attaches to the cabintop in one of those two locations and has a slot to hold slugs, pretty much plastic beads, to mount a sliding curtain.

It’s cosmetic, not structural.
