Beneteau 432 instrument panel schematic

Does anyone have a schematic of a 1988 Beneteau 432 instrument panel? I have an alarm that keeps going off and can’t determine if there’s a problem with alarm or otherwise. Temperature of engine ok when measured with lazer gun. Thanks

If you don't get a response with a schematic, you could probably still get some good generic troubleshooting tips. If you want that, some additional details would help, like where is the alarm physically, and under what conditions does it sound?

The alarm is located behind the instrument panel by the steering wheel. It is for temperature and oil. We have checked engine temperature at idle and seems to be ok.
Alarm sounds when under load.
A schematic would help so we know what wire is connected to what and specifically to the engine.
Questioning if alarm is functioning properly.

Re: Beneteau 432 instrument panel schematic

I agree a schematic would be helpful, and hopefully someone will be able to provide one.

In the meantime, maybe this will help. One common way to wire up the alarm is to have the positive side of the buzzer connected to +12V via the ignition switch, and the negative side of the buzzer connected to the pressure and temperature senders. When there is no oil pressure before starting the engine, the oil pressure sender connects the buzzer to ground. This sounds the alarm. As oil pressure comes up, the sender breaks the connection to ground, which stops the buzzer. You can check if yours is wired this way by measuring the voltage at the buzzer when it is not sounding. If both sides are +12V, yours is wired like mine.

My engine has two oil pressure senders. One is for an analog gauge. The other is just a switch for the buzzer. If you are getting a good oil pressure reading on the gauge, but the buzzer is still sounding, then the switch sender may be going bad - internal switch sticking closed, or oil passageway blocked.

Similarly for temperature, the negative side of the buzzer could be connected to the temp sender such that high temperature makes a connection to ground to sound the buzzer, and there may be a problem with that.

Good luck with your troubleshooting!
